Apple pie with warm spices (8 servings)


200 g Madame Butterfly Organic Wholegrain Crispbread with sunflower seeds and sesame
1 dl oatmeal
2 dl wheat flour
75 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
½ tsp salt
1 tssp baking powder
200 g butter
½-1 dl water

600-800 g apples (or another type of fruit, e.g. plum, pear or peach)
2 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cardamom
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1 tsp grounded ginger
3 tbsp. sugar
If convenient, 100 g chopped hazelnuts

On the side:
Sour cream, greek yogurt or whipped cream with zest of lemon.

Base:Blend crispbread into a fine mass in a blender or a food processer.
Mix crispbread with oatmeal, wheat flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar, melted butterand water. Knead it into a firm dough.
Pres the dough into a tart mould.
Prick the dough with a fork and bake it for 15 minutes by 180 °C.
Cut the apples in thin slices and mix them with sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, vanilla sugar and hazelnuts.
Spread the apple slices on the pie bottom so they cover the entire bottom.
Bake the pie for 25 minutes by 180 °C until it is golden.
By serving:
Serve the pie with sour cream, greek yogurt or whipped cream with zest of lemon for a sourish twist.
